So today I had two classes one at 8 a.m. and the other at 11 a.m. This morning around 7:30 it was raining.... no biggie. After class it was raining ICE! no biggie... so I go home for my break drink some hot chocolate while I press the refresh button on my school's email, of course nothing changed. I finally decide what’s a little ice and rain going to do to me, I open the door to see about 3 inches of snow! No biggie, ugh I decide to head to the bus stop as I travel my short distance I slip and slide wishing my car's heater worked. When I'm finally on the bus, of course there’s not going to be a seat available so I stand praying I don't fall and embarrass myself, which I didn't. So my last class lasted a whole 25 minutes… pretty sure it took me longer to get to school. If the day couldn’t get any more interesting I hear a crack and realize the tree I’m under was about to drop a branch, thank goodness I moved or TTU would have been paying my tuition for a long time. After my exciting day at school I finally went home and got under the snuggie and drank some more hot chocolate… yummy.Thursday, January 28, 2010

January's spotlight goes to the lovely Landins. They hosted Christmas 2009 and I must say did an amazing job. They were edgy.... no turkey for Christmas it was BRISKET!!! As a potential food critic I gave it five stars. These country folks really do know how to BBQ. As the holidays began April and Tia Vergie did a wonderful job of keeping everyone informed with the monthly newsletter. The Landin men filled Christmas day with lots of MJ (rip Mike), and Cowboy Zeke took the dance floor with his moon walk... boots and all. His three back up dancers also came dressed to impress in their matching red dresses. The Landin sure know how to have a Cowboy Christmas.
