Baby Balazsi!

This past Sunday Tia Alice along with her sisters and friends of Julie hosted a baby shower for baby boy Balazsi. Julie is due soon and I am sure Tio George is already planning his football career as a Dallas Cowboy. The shower was filled with heaps of celebration; including musical chairs a game with a sippy cup, and a game that involved knees and quarter. The games brought much laughter and most likely hilarious pictures. Decorations were adorably fit for the new baby boy. Julie also received many great gifts that will be well needed for the new one. The day seemed to bring the already glowing Julie lots of love from family and friends. So keep in touch Baby Balazi should be here soon.

Memorial Weekend

Summer has finally started!!! The Cruz family celebrated Memorial Weekend with some fun in the sun... and rain. With almost everyone in attendance the Cruz family ate hamburgers and hotdogs, and played their own version of volleyball. That day we learned Tio George is an excellent parallel parker. After eating the great meal, that Anthony prepared, we all started up a volleyball game. Since it was a busy day the volleyball court was being used, but no worries the Cruz family doesn’t need a net we use chanclas (sandals) as marking points. The day was a bit cloudy but perfect for a get together, the rain was even perfect. Little Lasaro and Zeke showed their great volleyball skills. Although no one was keeping score the “strong” team is believed to be the winners, which consisted of Gloria, Michelle, Victoria, Bobo, Jesse, and numerous others who randomly jumped in. While the grownups talked and played volleyball the kiddos ran wild at the park with no injuries. After the night came to an end the Sanchez family realized Leti needed to be in the pictures so thanks to the volleyball she was in too many pictures. This summer looks like a good one for the Cruz family.

Mother's Day 2010

The Cruz sisters and sister in-laws along with their daughters and granddaughters get together for dinner every year around Mother'a Day. This year the location was Logans… yummy steak. It is so great to see the three generations together. That day many of the Cruz sisters found it hard to throw the peanut shells on the floor especially Ernie. I tried to explain to her everyone was doing it and no one mind, but oh well just shows she is a great mother no matter the situation. Of course a meal with the girls would not be a meal without margaritas. After scrumptious food and tasty margaritas dessert was just out of the question. We couldn’t forget about the pictures, like every year each family takes a picture… this takes a while lol. The day was not over after the meal, some took the trip to visit Grandma Carmen to place flowers. She would love this tradition, I always wonder if she would join the fun after dinner and laugh at the silliness. This Mother’s Day had to be the most memorable especially in the evening. The girls learned a new game, some excelled and some just weren’t so lucky. That night we learned April is one tough country girl and Tia Ernie is pretty much the coolest Tia ever. The night concluded with lots of pictures that will never be posted but will always be remembered. Mother’s Day 2010 brought lots of memories and room for more good times.

Lucky Michelle

Take a look at Michelle's new car. Thats what you call a Mother's Day gift. Its a big Suburban that will fit her and all of her kiddos. You deserve this great gift Michelle.
